Siarhei: This one is also from juniour designers.
It happens to many designers a lot of days.
Daniel: Yeah, I get them all the time. Like, it really depends on, like, so many different things. You can be mad about something. You can just have a bad sleepless night. It happens to many designers a lot of days. You just learn how to handle it. Whether if it's going for a walk outside, stopping your work for half an hour, watching something, watch some videos to get inspired by things, listening to music. Listening to podcast. Just get, basically. I'd say my biggest tip to overcome a creative block is not stressing about it, and get your mind off of what you are doing. And onto something that inspires you. It does not have to be design related. Let's say you like something else as well. I don't know, let's say you like cooking, it can even be a cooking video, or like a cooking show. You can watch for like half an hour, get inspired - few people creating whilst having fun. Get your mind off of the bad space it's in. And you'll see everything comes back to normal.

If you tell yourself something is gonna take you 10 hours.
Then you'll finish it in 10.
Siarhei: Yeah, I see. Since you usually work from a home office, right? I mean, do you have some opportunity to do a physical switch? Like play table tennis with someone, or to go out and walk somewhere in the park. Or it's like video is enough, or music, for you?
Daniel: Oh, I do it all the time. Usually music is enough for me. I usually get evoked by music. But I get, I take my laptop, I go work outside, I go to a coffee place, I go just to the park and sit there, and for a bit. Like, I'm moving all the time. I actually really like working outside. I just find it very refreshing. But I just like working from home. Because it gives me that kind of versatility. And I built myself this structure, so that's also a great tip for people who want to be creative. Sometimes it's way easier to be creative if you are in this sort of structure. If you have your specific routine, and you know when you are doing what. It can be a lot easier to be creative.
Siarhei: So you suggest to plan your day, like a time management on different tasks during the day time.
Daniel: Either time management, or time blocks. Because, if you tell yourself something is gonna take you 10 hours. Then you'll finish it in 10. But if you say to yourself, you'll finish this in 5, Then you'll finish this in 5. It all depends. So I think, it's a great thing to do. I also think pressure is not a bad thing. Like it really depends. There's this kind of pressure. You know, to a certain extent it makes you better, it makes you more creative, more passionate. Until it reaches the certain level. Where, when it knocks you down. So, I think you, each individual needs to figure out where their threshold is. And play with that.
Siarhei: So, you say that the pressure, when you are hard upon yourseslf, or you constrain yourself - one of the reasons that you experience the creative block?
Daniel: Oh, yeah getting stressed about a creative block is one of the reasons it would not go away, for sure.
